What You Need to Know Before You Go
We can’t wait for you to experience the award-winning Mob Museum on Sunday, Oct. 19. Our event runs from 7-9 p.m. PT. You’ll have access to the museum from 7-10 p.m.
Here’s some information to make the most of your trip:
Getting There: By Cenlar Shuttle or Uber/Lyft
The Mob Museum is in downtown Las Vegas, steps from the world-famous Fremont Street. The museum is less than 3 miles from the conference hotel, Fontainebleau.
We’re pleased to offer a shuttle for any guests that prefer to rideshare to and from the event. Shuttle space is limited and is first-come, first-served.
Pick-up will be at the Fontainebleau, with shuttles at 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
The return shuttle from the Mob Museum to Fontainebleau will depart at 9 p.m.
The museum also offers an outdoor patio space themed to the Golden Age of Vegas with cocktails and a Jazz band that will open to the public prior to the event time. A speakeasy in the basement of the museum will also have music before and after the event; you’ll need to check the museum website for that day’s speakeasy password.
When You Arrive
When you arrive at the Mob Museum, look for the Cenlar registration table in the lobby. There you will receive a wristband. You will need this wristband to access the museum and the event.
About the Event Space
The building that houses the Mob Museum — the first U.S. Courthouse and Post Office in Las Vegas — opened in 1933. The most famous hearing ever held in the second-floor courtroom occurred 75 years ago, on November 15, 1950, when a committee led by Tennessee Sen. Estes Kefauver interviewed several witnesses about organized crime involvement in the Las Vegas casino industry.
Our event gives you exclusive access to the courtroom, which has been restored to appear as it was in 1950.
Exhibits
Among the award-winning exhibits you’ll be able to experience at the museum are:
- 3rd floor – The history of the Mob’s formation in the United States and how law enforcement fought back
- 1st floor – An exploration of the Mob and its place in pop culture
- Basement – A working and award-winning distillery
